Who's Jack Editor Joins The Judging Panel

Louise Orcheston-Findlay, Editor and Director of Who’s Jack Magazine, has just confirmed her place on the Live and Unsigned judging panel!

Louise is set to join other media representatives and judges at the Festival in July, where she will be judging the Indie category of the competition.

Louise first got into the media industry after dropping out of studying Graphic Design at University in London. Her passion was in event management and music and so following this she began organising events, booking bands and DJ’s for various venues around London as well as organising and running popular London one day festival Shoreditch Shuffle. In 2003 Louise started running Who’s Jack club nights at various locations around London. It wasn’t long before she was turning her creative hand to turning the Who’s Jack brand into a magazine. After a brief stint working at Vice magazine and guest editing on Dolly Mix Louise decided to take matters into her own hands and start her own publication.

Who’s Jack originally started online and moved into print just over three years ago. It is a London centric publication which focuses on trend spotting, music, fashion and art and in the last few years it’s added another string to it’s bow with online TV platform Jack TV. As well as editing the magazine Louise also produces Jack TV and is the Director of the Who’s Jack brand. During her time working on Who’s Jack Louise has spent some time managing bands signed to Fierce Panda records and worked with bands such as The Thirst and Record Label 360.

Chris Grayston, Events Director of Live and Unsigned commented, “We are very excited to have Louise on board for the festival. As well as judging the Indie category, Louise will be giving out an award to the Indie band she feels stands out the most. Her experience with the music industry, vast amount of media contacts and knowledge of all things London makes Louise a valuable asset to the panel and I’m sure many bands will already be avid readers of Who’s Jack magazine!”

Now-a-days Louise’s day is taken up with organising shoots, editing copy, looking after the website and laying out Who’s Jack magazine. An impressive feat for someone who has no conventional media background!
