The O2 in London is widely known as the best live music venue in the UK and ever since its opening as the Millennium Dome in 2000, it has attracted millions of people from across the country. Although it saw over 6.5 million people in its first year of opening, the Millennium Dome was closed because of political controversy and was taken over and re branded by O2. The takeover successfully launched the venue as a world class entertainment destination and it has been packed full of people ever since.
The O2 is the first purpose built music venue in the UK since the Royal Albert Hall in 1871. With an array of entertainment under one roof including the spectacular live music venue The Indigo and Arena, it is no wonder it has played host to some of the world’s most renowned rock, pop and RnB acts. Performers include Prince, Alicia Keys, Pink, Black Eyed peas, Beyonce, Elton John, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Snow Patrol, Rolling Stones, 50 Cent, Keane and Bon Jovi. And next, it could be you!
