VODAFONE LIVE MUSIC AWARDS

The prestigious Vodafone Award Ceremony takes place annually at the Carling Academy in Brixton, London. The red carpet is rolled out for a host of celebrities and industry buffs who witness performances from the most current and popular music acts. Last year’s performances included: Mark Ronson, The Ting Tings, Glasvegas, Will Young, James Morrison, Estelle, Pussycat Dolls, The Automatics and Primal Scream to name but a few.

Future Music Management, through Live and Unsigned, partnered with the Vodafone Live Awards, hosting the award for the UK’s Best Unsigned Act. Chris Grayston, Managing Director of Future Music explains “These awards are such an exciting opportunity for all Nominees, with press exposure, A & R and the whole of the UK music industry at the final, as well as looking great on the CV. It’s great that a company such as Vodafone are not just supporting established acts but also encouraging and acknowledging unsigned talent in the UK.”

Vodafone’s Sponsorship Manager for the UK Belinda Stevenson stated “We are very excited to be working with Live and Unsigned at the Vodafone Live Music Awards. We look forward to discovering some big talent together.”

Former Live and Unsigned winners Kiddo 360 went on to scoop an award winning the coveted title as the UK’s Best Unsigned Act at the Vodafone ceremony. After collecting their trophy from Steve Jones and Juliette Lewis, Kiddo commented on being overwhelmed by their recent success “We are thrilled at winning this; I can’t describe how amazing it is - we have had such a fantastic year.”

Alongside the Best Unsigned Act award, awards were also taken away by Kate Nash (Best Female), The Ting Tings (Best Live Breakthrough Act), Mark Ronson (Best Male), Primal Scream (Outstanding Contribution to Live Music Award & Best Live Act), Kings of Leon (Best International Act) and The Spice Girls (Best Live Return).
